My funny little tidbit of the day is that I wrote about Kane ten years ago in our Euro-Preview at SV and I dared to compare him to SERGIO BUSQUETS of all players.
10y later, René Marić is his coach, lets him operate in these zones and he goes on to win the Ballon d'Or.
Lovely.

I think I admire Kane for broadly the same reasons I admire Joe Root: no ego, no bullshit, just a pure love of the game, deep commitment to constant technical improvement and representing the country the right way. We will miss them both so much when they're gone.
Fantastic writing from @JackPittBrooke on Harry Kane's rise from footballing misfit to the best in the world.
As Jack points out, his commitment to finding new ways to score, create and impact games is what sets him apart among the elite.

Evanilson might be the most “Streets Won’t Forget”-eligible player in the Premier League atm. Such a baller.

Luca Williams-Barnett is Tottenham’s ‘precious diamond’, but when
will the talented teenager — who naturally looks at England agemates Dowman and Ngumoha as a yardstick — get a chance to shine?

The defining image of Tottenham Hotspur's first league win of the season was James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski walking off arm in arm, embracing gleefully after all that they have been through.
Few deserved to enjoy Monday's victory over Coventry City more than them.

Was quite an annoying performance for most of it, but three points and three goals is something to celebrate. As is Kulusevski’s return and Maddison back doing what he does.
What a player Tonali is, btw!

When De Zerbi hands a player the armband, he does it to tap into something intangible. Solanke missed two great chances before he finally scored the late equaliser, but hopefully that goal, and the confidence boost from the manager, can ignite his season

On the whistle thoughts from United 1-1 Spurs. Spurs were the far better side and should have gone in front on multiple occasions, but their profligacy bites them on the rear end again. Solanke the saviour in the end, but should have had a hat-trick
