Great time in Kano with @bloompubhealth! Thank you for your visit!
No one should get sick from the water they drink. On July 14, 2026, we joined SafeStart for field work on the Community-Based Chlorine Access (CBCA) project in Kano State. The goal is to reduce mortality among women and children caused by cholera and other waterborne diseases.

Very excited to finally launch SafeStart! Inspired by one recurring challenge in global health: we often know what works, but delivery remains the missing piece. Excited for what comes next! safe-start.org/

Excited to get started! @Simprints
📣  Big news from Ghana! 🇬🇭 Simprints first-ever Randomised Control Trial (RCT) has officially begun. In partnership with the @_GHSofficial, the research is led by Dr. Jessica Cohen from @HarvardChanSPH, Dr. Elisa M. Maffioli from the @UMich, & Professor Chris Guure from the @UnivofGh. The project is supported by @GlobalDevInc and @TheWeissFund. The study will evaluate the impact of Simprints AI-driven technology on improving vaccination coverage across the Oti region, helping health workers identify and reach children who’ve missed vital immunisations. Read our latest blog post about the RCT via the link in the comments 👇 #healthresearch #healthinnovation #health

Last month, our Chief Delivery and Impact Officer, Stephen Taylor and Head of Monitoring Evaluation and Impact, Carla Lewis, joined our team in Ghana and our research partners from @UMich and @UnivofGh School of Public Health to plan our first ever full scale randomised control trial. Whilst on the ground we met with our partners from the @_GHSofficial to coordinate plans and piloted our baseline tool. At Simprints, we are committed to generating rigorous evidence of our impact and we are so excited to launch our baseline survey next month.

Infant biometrics could be transformative: it can accelerate digitisation of immunisation records to help ensure children have the access they deserve to lifesaving vaccines. My thanks to @Simprints for hosting us today in Ghana to see first-hand how this technology could help save lives.

We are thrilled to announce that Simprints has been chosen as a recipient of the highly competitive Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) grant from @USAID!  🎉 This funding will power our new project: “Testing a Biometric Identification System to Improve Malaria Vaccine Rates.” In Ghana, only 46% of children complete the four-dose malaria vaccine schedule, leaving many vulnerable to preventable illness and death. With this project, we aim to change that. Using biometric-linked digital vaccination records, our system will automatically identify children who have missed vaccinations and send voice message reminders to caregivers — ensuring no child is left behind. Thank you to USAID for believing in our vision and to all our partners for making this possible. Find out more on our blog: simprints.com/simprints-chos…

Thank you @jaljeevan_ @mahajan_vini @MoJSDDWS for hosting us for this #safewater discussion. Rigorous research by Michael Kremer and colleagues shows water treatment is one of the most cost-effective ways to save children's lives.
Nobel Laureate, #Michael Kremer met Smt. @mahajan_vini, Secretary, @MoJSDDWS today to discuss regarding pilot studies on disinfection technologies and health impact assessment due to the provision of safe drinking water under #JJM. @gssjodhpur @UChicago @iamvikassheel @PIBWater
