𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, Bihar's Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) is nearly 5 times Maharashtra's, yet Maharashtra receives nearly 19 times as much CSR funding per capita. India’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) spending reached Rs 40,794 crore in FY 2024-25, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 15% over the past decade. However, Sattva Consulting and India Data Insights analysis finds that CSR funding remains concentrated in established sectors and better-funded geographies, even as several development indicators show limited progress or deteriorating outcomes. How are you treating your heart? Are you a toxic boss who loads it with pressure and rarely stops to check how it is coping? A six-point improvement in stunting is real progress, but it is not the whole picture Wasting, which captures more recent undernutrition, has held roughly steady at 19.0% over the past decade, down only marginally from 19.3%. Severe wasting has fallen further, from 7.7% to 5.2%, yet both figures sit well above the WHO's target of under 5%. It is the clearest unresolved gap left in the survey.
