It’s accepted that doctors will “cut the cord” within minutes of birth, but this deprives the baby of essential nutrients and will cause developmental problems.
Instead, the cord (connecting baby and placenta) should be left intact
For us, the cord naturally dried out in about 30 hours. Since no more blood/nutrients can flow once it’s dried up, it’s safe to cut it
To keep it fresh, we covered the placenta with rosemary powder (pictured) and stuck it in a basket
Whereas a hospital will take the placenta and sell it off for its stem cells, used in anti aging skin cream and the like

Intensive exercise, which generates a high degree of shear stress, destroys circulating tumor cells.
As a quirk of cancer cell biology, many types of metastatic cancer cells are vulnerable to shear stress created by blood flow itself.
However, it's important to recognize that not all cancer cells are equally sensitive to mechanical stress.
On the other hand, this isn't the only aspect of exercise that acts as a tool to hamper cancer cells.
Even when focusing solely on the vascular system, exercise contributes to tumor vessel normalization.
This can enhance the effectiveness of therapeutics by improving their access to tumors, illustrating how exercise can be a complementary therapeutic strategy even alongside other treatments.
Nor is exercise a perfect solution: very active people do sometimes get cancer, obviously.
But, for many of us, the fact that exercise can help and also be a tool of prevention can be a very empowering message.
