#Illini fall just short of a second-half comeback win after trailing by 19 at the half.
Stojakovic and both Ivisic twins suffered injuries midway through 2H.

Baylor guards Brett Decker Jr. and Isaac Williams with a combined 31 points. Decker Jr. with 12 on 4-7 3FG, and Williams with 19 on 3-3 3FG.
#Illini need to figure out how to slow them down. Bears up 53-37 with 4 to go in 1H.
#illini seem to be missing David Mirkovic on the boards and in the paint on defense.
Baylor have snagged 6 offensive rebounds to Illinois' 1, and tallied 11 second-chance points to Illinois' 2.
11 left to go in 1H.
#Illini freshman guard Quentin Coleman with a steal, two rebounds, four points and a slam dunk through 5 minutes (all team-leading).
Not the news #Illini fans have been looking for. Illinois' star sophomore forward and preseason All-American selection David Mirkovic was seen on the sideline back in a boot and scooter during Illinois' exhibition matchup vs. Baylor.
Mirkovic originally got out of his boot in early September and seemed close to full recovery. Seems like he's suffered a significant setback.

I asked Nebraska HC Fred Hoiberg about how #illini HC Brad Underwood helped transform Illinois, and he had nothing but good things to say.
“They are so hard to guard.”
“If you don’t bring your hard hat against a Brad Underwood team, you’re gonna get embarrassed.”
Elliot Casey retweeted
MSU HC Tom Izzo on how #illini Brad Underwood changed Illinois.
“He stayed there. They had a lot of coaches for a while that either left or got fired.
“He’s a tough SOB and he’s demanding. I get ridiculed for how I am. But I’m a choir boy compared to him.
“I love Brad. He’s done a great job.”
Illinois is the favorite to win the big ten. MSU is 2nd
Good question from @ElliotCasey3
I asked #illini head coach Brad Underwood how the perception of Illinois has changed since he arrived.
“It’s the golden years at Illinois right now.”
He highlighted the increase in applications and the energy in Champaign along with WBB, football & volleyball success
I asked #illini Andrej Stojakovic what makes Underwood a great coach.
“The ability he has to get his guys to play hard is probably the most consistent thing,” Stojakovic said.
I asked Michigan State HC Tom Izzo about Brad Underwood’s evolution at Illinois.
“I’m a choir boy compared to Brad…I love Brad, he’s done a great job and he cares about the game.”

#illini guard Stef Vaaks on Illinois' Gold/Silver/Bronze medal shot selection process:
"I know that I can shoot the ball and will take some tough ones...they sometimes give me the green light"
"Even if sometimes I can take a bad shot, they will tell me we can get a better one"
#Illini vet Jake Davis on how the offense flows when Z and Tomi are on the floor together:
"I think when they play together, they mesh really well...I think it's a great option for us."
I asked #illini head coach Brad Underwood about the tempo on offense with some roster changes, and he admitted that they're trying to play faster.
"We'll always try to play as quickly as we can...I think this team's a little more geared to doing that."
After two heartbreaking OT losses to the Badgers last season, the #illini will be out for blood this time around Jan. 2 at the Kohl Center.
No more Boyd, no more Blackwell.
