In anime films, you’ll see characters keep the same look throughout the production.
Keeping them on-model is essential to making sure characters stay recognizable. Their proportions and key features need to stay consistent, even when different animators work on different cuts.

Anyone who loves animating fire? We do 🙌
Yuki’s fire is actually one of those little things we spent quite a bit of time on back then. Since her power is fire, we had to think about how the flame ignites, how it flows with her movement, and how the light hits her as the flame moves.
So there we go, the final version. Still craving more 2D FX🔥
