Congratulations Your Excellency. Well done
Today, I'm thrilled to commission the Yaba Flyover Bridge Project—a vital part of the Lagos Red Line Rail Project. This modern transportation system is set to transform Lagos, simplify residents' lives, save time on the road, and boost our GDP.
The Yaba Bus Station is a key component of our transportation network. Linked to the Yaba Train Station, it paves the way for pedestrian-friendly spaces, saving time on commute, and improving the lives of Lagos residents.
With the Yaba Flyover, seamless travel from Jibowu to Ojuelegba, Tejuoso to Muritala Muhammed way, and beyond becomes a reality.
More to come with Ikeja Along, Oyingbo, and Mushin flyovers.

...Shell Director Hails Tinubu's Strong Start, Positive Reforms
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured the business community of his government's commitment to policy consistency and better business climate to attract investment.
The President spoke Monday while receiving the delegation of the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) led by the Global Upstream Director, Ms Zoe Yujnovic at the State House, Abuja.
President Tinubu welcomed the SPDC's offer for more investments in the Nigerian oil and gas sector, adding that such investments are needed now more than ever, to enable Government meet its obligations.
The President recalled that attracting fresh investment was "a promise I made personally to Nigerians. Whatever it takes, I will fulfill that promise to Nigerians."
President Tinubu reiterated that Nigeria is ready for business, assuring the Shell management and other investors of his administration's willingness to maintain an open-door policy and address their concerns.
"We are open for business. We are serious. I give you the assurance of consistency in policy," he said.
The President also assured that his government was removing all forms of bottlenecks in order to ensure Nigeria becomes an attractive investment destination.
Addressing the President earlier, Ms Yujnock applauded what she described as "incredibly strong start" of the Tinubu presidency and expressed optimism that the "bold" steps taken by the government would renew Nigeria's pride of place as an investment destination.
Yujnock said SPDC was willing to ramp up investment in the country especially in the areas of gas and deep-water assets by pumping in billions of dollars.
She said Nigeria remains a strategic investment country for the company in view of the long history between the two entities and the prospects held by the county's oil and gas sector.

TEXT OF DEMOCRACY DAY NATIONAL BROADCAST BY PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU ON JUNE 12, 2023.
Fellow Nigerians,
It is exactly three decades today that Nigerians went to the polls to exercise their inalienable right to elect a President of their choice to lead the transition from military dictatorship to a representative government of the people.
The abortion, by military fiat, of the decisive victory of Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola of the defunct Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the June 12, 1993, presidential election, up to that time, the fairest and freest election in the country’s political evolution, turned out, ironically, to be the seed that germinated into the prolonged struggle that gave birth to the democracy we currently enjoy since 1999.
Excellent and kudos to his Excellency
I am excited to announce the first set of electric buses in the Lagos Mass Transit Master Plan as part of our increased effort to modernise every sector of Lagos. Thanks to our partnership with @Oando_PLC, Lagosians can expect a cleaner and greener public transportation system.
With the ability to travel 280km at full charge, taking into account our unique travel times in Lagos, our electric buses are a game-changer. With an average daily usage of 200km by existing BRTs, there is no need to fear that the buses can stop while in transit.
Our new electric buses will not only reduce carbon emissions but will also increase efficiency. This means that Lagosians can say goodbye to high fuel costs and hello to cost-efficient transportation. We shall be running a pilot scheme over the next few months to gather sufficient data required to analyse the operational efficiencies relative to the current BRT buses to further improve our public transport service.
This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to creating a sustainable future for Lagos.
We understand the need for charging stations to power our electric buses, which is why we are partnering with Oando Clean Energy Limited to strategically place Universal Chargers at public places like malls and gas stations. We also plan to establish an Assembly Plant for Electric Buses in the near future.
This is just the beginning of our efforts to transform Lagos into an even smarter city as we continue to increase our fleet of electric vehicles, further modernizing the Lagos transportation system.
Join us in embracing the future of mobility in Lagos.
Congratulations Your Excellency. It’s well deserved victory. God bless you
