“Kid, name one person who doesn’t let their ego get the better of them. Go ask Batman.”

“Ha! I'll take that as a victory!”

“Maybe, but that really depends on the person and what their reasons are.”

“Yup. I'd be exactly the same. If there's still work to be done, you can bet I'll be right there getting it done.”

“You've known Bruce for a long time. And knowing him, I seriously doubt he'll ever hang up that cowl for good. Maybe he'll step back now and then, but I don't think he'll ever walk away from it entirely.”

“Kid, Bruce and I will still be kicking ass when we're well past 200. Some things just don't get old.”

“Really? Have you actually seen Superman up close? Trust me, that'll put things into perspective.”

“Well, yeah, but I have to say, I’m looking pretty damn good for my age.”

“Because I age like fine wine, you little punk. And one of these days, somebody's gonna say the exact same thing about you. Just wait.”

“Then I'd say your eyes and your brain could use some serious recalibration.”

Hal gives them a light bonk on the head with the wiffle ball bat, wearing a smug grin. “I'm 43, smart-ass. You missed by a whole forty years. Now, you wanna try that again, or should I start worrying about your math skills, too?”
