I do hope Labour set out what they'll do on pension taxation before the election on July 4th Drs have already been in touch to work out what their pension would be if they retired in July/August for fear of a return to punitive pension tax

A new form ‘only’ takes 1 minute per patient. 650 patients = 650 minutes per day 3,954 hours per year 37.5 hrs per week is 1,575 hours per year. So we need 2.5 additional staff to fill in a “1 minute” form. BUT this also works the other way round.

Please share🙏 Deconditioning is the burglar of life's quality and the thief of time, leaving peoples' lives smaller than before 'Deconditioned' shows us its impact lingers but it isn't inevitable #EndPJparalysis #Last1000days HT @lyndamholt @RCSI_Nursing youtube.com/watch?v=xeXoLQ7U…

This, on some levels, is why I have a difficulty with age based discrimination in services for older people. Not everyone who's 'old' is frail and not everybody who's frail is 'old'. HT @EmergMedCons @PeteGordon68 @EM_Dr_Jacklin – at Wheatley, England
Orville Rogers is 100 years old. He set a new age record by running the men's 60M in 19.13 seconds.

These graphs are *terrifying*👇 It all feels a bit like the MMC/MTAS debacle all over again So important that we open up sufficient training numbers to fill workforce shortfalls *and* ensure those not in formal training get mirrored T&Cs

Now that the #Lionesses are in the finals, think how we can use this opportunity to encourage people do some bed/chair based/outdoor exercise in hospital wards and care homes to support #ReconditionTheNation @ReconGamesUK. Don’t forget the medals portal remains open. RT.

So true Shauna & with good intention we keep patients in bed and so kill them with kindness as deconditioning may be 10-100x more prevalent than falls/PUs Great reporting here from @Independent reporter Ryan Dougal on Prof del Pozo Cruz et al work👏👏 HT @Rebeccasmt @sticklerian
