I've been pretty quiet for much of this year, but I'm starting to get more involved in Web3 again.
After two years building, supporting projects, and championing communities, I've had time to reflect on the enormous opportunity cost, the friendships, and everything I've learned.

People keep blaming individual exchanges while missing the much bigger picture.
Everything is becoming a target. Bridges, exchanges, websites, databases, financial institutions. Exploits everywhere, big and small.
We're entering an era where AI-powered agents can continuously probe systems for vulnerabilities at a scale humans could never match. And this is only the beginning.
Sure, defenders have access to increasingly powerful tools too, but attackers have one massive advantage: they only need to find one weakness. Defenders have to protect everything.
Now think about where this leads.
Our financial infrastructure is still running on decades-old technology. Banks, payment processors, government systems. Institutions that were never designed to withstand autonomous systems relentlessly searching for ways inside.
What happens when those attacks become exponentially more sophisticated?
At what point does the pace of exploitation exceed our ability to defend against it?
And here's what concerns me most.
We're in an AI arms race driven by some of the most obsessive and competitive minds on the planet. Every major lab wants to reach superintelligence before its competitors. The potential consequences are understood, but nobody wants to be the one who slows down.
We're betting that the same technology accelerating these threats will somehow provide the solutions before things spiral beyond our control.
Maybe it will.
But that's an extraordinary gamble to make with the infrastructure civilization depends on.
The question isn't whether AI will change cybersecurity forever. It already is.
The question is whether our defenses, institutions, and financial systems can evolve quickly enough to survive what's coming.

Bringing Bitcoin TVL to Cardano is a major opportunity to attract new capital and grow the ecosystem. @btc_karma is building toward that opportunity.
