What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admirationย for him and his work.
My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.
Sad news! May he rest in peace. Life well lived.

I still have to find out if this photo is real. It looks hilarious, of course, and I hope itโs real. AI thinks itโs a real photo but it told me that the man in the middle is Patrick Swayze. ๐

Evening viewing recommendation? On the Criterion Channel, watch THE CAT O' NINE TAILS (1971) in our Dario Argento collection! bit.ly/4jEqpD4
Argentoโs sophomore featureโthe second entry in his so-called Animal Trilogyโfinds the filmmaker further refining his distinctive style and cementing his reputation as the master of the giallo thriller.
Why does everything have to turn into an argument? Watch Cassvetes movie or donโt. Personally, I highly recommend it. Heโs part of the Pantheon. But heโs not easy. It wonโt make you feel warm but human and exhausted. at least you can appreciate his strong spirit of creation.
Donโt you find it hilarious the statement โstockpile food for at least three days.โ ๐ three days? Stockpile? You mean, go grocery shopping, like one usually does on a weekly basis? ๐
Now how am I supposed to do a Lacanian interpretation of that kind of boring plot?
HBO is developing a series reboot of Alfred Hitchcockโs classic film โThe Birds,โ with Sarah Snook in the lead role.
The official logline states: โEscaping a bitter custody battle, Myra Massey (Snook) returns home with her young daughter, secretly probing a childhood friendโs suspicious disappearance. With a killer on the loose and personal threats mounting, Myra fights to protect her daughter against a terrifying new menace: vicious, deadly bird attacks inexplicably tied to the crime.โ
