🚨 UPDATE: CHRISTA PIKE IS AWAKE AND TALKING 🙄
Christa Pike is now awake, speaking, and off the ventilator after surviving Tennessee’s failed execution attempt on September 30.
Pike received two doses of pentobarbital — and survived.
Her attorneys say both of her arms were left swollen, burned and blistered following the execution attempt. She remains in the ICU.
Tennessee has now halted its remaining 2026 execution while an outside review investigates exactly what went wrong.
A condemned inmate surviving the lethal drugs meant to execute her is almost unheard of.
This story just took another unbelievable turn.
