🏆 Incredibly honored to receive the 2025 IEEE VGTC Visualization Dissertation Award for my Ph.D. thesis titled "Designing, Developing, and Democratizing Guidance for Visual Analytics."
I accepted this award at the #ieeevis conference last week in Vienna.
Congrats Grace! Very well deserved!
2 GT students have been named 2023 IBM Ph.D. Fellows, and one of them is our own @graceguo43! Out of hundreds of applications, IBM awarded only 10 Fellowships for 2023. Congrats Grace!
I like when projects teach me things. For example, I never knew how complicated AQI is for people to understand. Stay tuned for some vises to make this easier.
A $1.8M @NSF grant is allowing @jessann_roberts and @EndertAlex to build data visualization tools to promote air pollution literacy. They are also partnering with @CEISMC to create curriculum for middle schoolers. Congrats to Jessica and Alex!
