End The Wait

Had fun last night at the “End the Wait” movie gala in Carrollton, Georgia. I got to catch up with the legend himself, Nick Searcy (@yesnicksearcy). We are really excited for y’all to see this film, and I know that my pal @DeanCain and Randy Simpkins (@endthewait102k), the latter of whom the movie is based on, are stoked too. Tied to a public awareness initiative, the movie will focus on Simpkins, who donated one of his kidneys to a complete stranger, aiming to inspire living organ donation and clear the national kidney transplant waiting list. There are around 100,000 people on the waitlist. But those on it aren’t simply waiting; they’re fighting to survive. I was surprised to learn that many endure years of dialysis while their families face enormous emotional and financial strain. And countless others with kidney failure are too ill or face complications that prevent them from even qualifying for the waitlist. The proceeds will go towards speeding up the kidney transplant process and ending the waitlist to save lives. Honored to be a part of this.
