Last night in Eastleigh, a father of seven tried to stop a thief.
Saciid saw a man snatch a phone from a Somali woman and run. He chased him. Caught him. Took the phone back.
The thief stabbed him in the chest. Straight through the heart.
They rushed him to hospital. He didn’t make it.
His family lives around 4th Street. Seven children just lost their dad over a phone.
The suspect later surrendered at Airbase after the public chased him.
Rest in peace, Saciid. You did what most people wouldn’t.
This city keeps taking the good ones.
