Jerry White a 74 ans aujourd’hui.
Il a frappé le plus important circuit de l’histoire des Expos. Un circuit bon pour trois points lors du troisième match de la série de championnat en 1981 vs @Dodgers devant 54 372 spectateurs au stade olympique.⚾️
Congrats to @BenShelton on his amazing performance in Montreal. He didn’t drop a single set on his way to defending his title.👏👍
Must’ve been all that good karma he earned from rocking this @Montreal_Expos hat a few months ago. 👌👌
To follow up on my post below, the 2026 Dodgers (who are now on a 6-game losing streak) were 69-45 through 114 games, which would’ve put them 5 games behind the 1994 Montreal Expos (who were up 6 games on Atlanta when the strike hit).
That’s how great the 1994 Expos were.

Bill Lee, at age 75 with beer in hand, walks straight out of the stands to strike out some young joker with an eephus pitch. There will never be another Spaceman.
How great were the 1994 Montreal Expos?
As I post this, the powerhouse 2026 Dodgers are 67-40 and look unstoppable with their $420 million payroll.
If L.A wins their next 7 straight games they’ll match the 74-40 record of that ‘94 Expos team, who had a payroll of $19 million.

Bravo to the Mayor of Vancouver for making a public push for MLB expansion.
We call on the Mayor of Montreal, @SorayaMartinezF, to make a similar move, and start working with business leaders who are making incredible progress on the Expos’ return.
Bringing baseball back to Montreal is a generational, wealth-building project for the city. Of late, no one is working harder on this dossier than @ashkan.
With MLB expansion on the horizon, let’s all come together to make it happen.

How important was Expos broadcaster Rodger Brulotte to Quebec, its culture, and its people?
Tonight, Quebec’s News and Sports networks have preempted programming to celebrate his life.

A genie gives you two concert tickets to see any artist in the year of your choice on the condition you give the other ticket to someone who played for the Montreal Expos. I’m going to see Dylan in 1966 with Bill Lee.
Yes, I *am* high right now.
This comment I made last year still holds true about Davis Schneider and Vlad Guerrero being my two favourite Blue Jays. Actually, the whole team is super likeable, but I root for these guys the hardest, and never enjoyed doing so more than in the first inning of Game 5 tonight.
