A message to all those causing a moral panic about how children are falling behind during lock down. Why don’t you address the fundamental inequalities that underlie these issues to make a lasting impact. This is what will make a difference.

May those who live, work or holiday on top of this have nightmares about what lies beneath them. May they imagine the cries of the dying and may it keep them awake at night.

Rahaf Ahmed Quneita, my maternal uncle’s granddaughter, was killed by Israel’s genocidal army three years ago. Her body was finally recovered from the rubble yesterday.

This is 8-year-old Yamin Saqqer, who succumbed to his injuries after being shot by Israeli forces in Khan Younis a few days ago.
I just finished listening to an interview with his mother. Of everything she said, four words will stay with me:
“He died while hungry.”

Remember in Schindler's List when the Nazi commander uses a sniper rifle to shoot prisoners in the Concentration Camp.
This is a video of Israel using machine guns from a tank to shoot prisoners in a Concentration Camp.

I can hardly imagine anyone who hasn’t seen this photograph. But it was taken on this day in 2000.
I cannot believe the photo is 26 years old now.
The boy in the photograph was Fares Odeh. He was just 14 years old.
Ten days after this image was captured, Fares went out again to throw stones at Israeli tanks, seeking to avenge the killing of his 17-year-old cousin.
An Israeli sniper shot him in the neck, killing him.
And there is another chilling detail to this photograph.
The photo changed Israeli tank doctrine. In August 2001, The Jerusalem Post quoted an anonymous tank doctrinist saying tank personnel were now instructed to fire upon rock-throwers.

Ms. Rachel just delivered one of the most powerful statements on the genocide in Gaza
"The system that protects children from being killed, violence, harm, starvation-it's not working. The UN Commission on the Rights of the Child-it's not working.
I'm not going to sit back and be like, 'Oh, that's not my problem.' Sudan, Gaza, Congo, Haiti. How kids are being treated. I am not okay with it.
20,000 kids in Gaza killed. Massacres in Sudan. We know where the weapons are coming from. We know who's funding the genocides. So it's not working."
