Sir Stewart cast such a massive shadow as an actor. Star Trek gave me the basis for so much of what I aspire to with my own work and life; I wouldn’t be the same man I am today without Picard’s example as a kid. such an immense loss, RIP to a real legend

pattern I've been working on: hesitating too long to work on The Fun Stuff - as someone working almost entirely alone it's important to make sure the unsexy work gets enough energy, so I tend prioritize that. BUT the silly stuff is where all the magic is, still important!
it's one of the bigger paradoxes of working on intricate projects solo/limited resources. you need the infrastructural/practical work to take precedence bc without it there's no game, but if you're not spending time on the fun FOR YOU bits the game won't be fun for someone else
