Client: Can you automate our entire proposal flow in Notion to save us 15-20 hours a week?
Me: Yes. Yes, I can.
Proof Notion can be deployed at scale.

What doesn't get measured, doesn't get managed.
It really is as simple as that.
It's hard to identify what processes take the most time, how much capacity you have, and where you have room for growth without insights into results and outputs.
I've been working on a number of cool projects lately, one of the being a PIM app in Glide.
Glide is a perfect app for e-comm brands to manage product info, including marketing and sales info, assets, docs & channel-specific info.
Plus, you gotta love how Glide look on mobile.
Every time you say “Yes” to something you are saying “No” to something else.
All those fires you keep putting out?
You are slowing down your growth.
Constantly playing catch up instead of optimizing your processes?
You are losing money, opportunities and great employees.
Stop saying “Yes” to all the wrong things.
Instead:
- Solve the root cause, not the consequences
- Equip your team will the tools they need to be successful
- Dedicate time to high impact tasks
- Simplify and automate your processes
If I see one more “this famous person did this and now makes X amount of money” Imma stop scrolling Twitter all together.
Stop trying to be someone else.
That famous person made money because they were unique in solving a common problem.
Not by being a copy of someone else.
What an awesome post to wake up to.
Erlend is an existing customer and a visionary leader that truly understands the impact of automation and tools that work for his teams instead of against them.
Makes it an absolute pleasure to work with him and his team.
If you can't map a process, you can't automate it.
It's simple really.
If you can't sketch what the process looks like (or should look like), then there's a 99% chance the process is not streamlined or standardized enough for you to be able to automate it.
DocsAutomator Custom Make App Update
I've created all modules, and the "Create A New Document" module is working!
Line items support is still in the works, but hopefully we solve this this week.
Working on a client onboarding automation for a client.
What use to take 30min will now take 30s.
Mindblowing.

Did you know that in Glide, you can add custom style (with CSS) to your apps to make them exactly as you want them?
Quick tip for all business owners with custom no-code apps (Glide, Airtable, Notion, etc.)
Always include core resources on how to use the application.
This will save everyone time (and nerves) down the line.
Plus, you are fostering a culture of self-service and autonomy.
Building my website forced me to start thinking about relaunching my newsletter (long overdue).
I am ashamed to admit how much time it took me to come up with a name, LOL. 😀
But I gotta say, I really like it.
What do you think? Yay or nay?
What’s the difference between API polling and Webhooks?
I had a conversation about this topic last week and I noticed lots of people don’t know the difference.
Which is fair - not all of us have a technical background (me included).
So here’s an easy way to visualise it.
Imagine the classic situation of a family on a road trip.
API polling is like the kids constantly asking, “Are we there yet?” and the parents replying “no” over and over.
Webhooks on the other hand are like… the kids are sleeping and when the family gets to the destination, the parents wake them up.
This is why API polling is a scheduled (time-based) event frequently asking “Is there anything new for me?”
Whereas webhooks are event-based, and more like “I have something new for you.”
Super easy to understand the difference now, isn’t it?
