Couldn’t do my job without these students! They show up everyday to be the eyes in the sky to help out the Bobcats!
Blessed beyond belief to have a crew like this one🙌

The guy squirting water into Zach Ertz’s mouth is Joe O’Pella. He’s an athletic trainer that’s been with the team for over 15 years at this point.
NFL teams don’t really have water boys, athletic trainers are usually the ones responsible for having water on the practice field and during games, but this post is absolutely hilarious.
A guy who rehabbed my ACL tear in my second year, has a masters degree from Pitt, and has years of experience keeping Eagles players healthy and on the field being called a “Waterboy” is crazy, and I’m already giving him shit for it, but good lord this post is so wildly misleading.
Either way, thought I’d clear the air, that the people with Water Bottles during games actually serve much bigger roles on NFL Teams.
Wow: NFL waterboys earn over 3 THOUSAND dollars per game, which averages out to more than $50K per season, not including tips.
Waterboys also attend practices, handle locker room prep, and travel with the team.
What a fantastic job to have 💸📈

Friends, one of the good ones is retiring. John Miller is heading to the farm to enjoy this next phase of life. The long time "Coach's right hand man" at Ole Miss has assisted Freeze, Matt Luke, Lane and came back to help Pete says now is the time to step back.

@TXSTATEFOOTBALL we are lucky to have a leader like @GJKinne. I have been around ball my entire life and know 99% of teams would have quit and waived the white flag in the situation we were in but here at Texas State we just follow the leader. I’m so grateful to be able to represent this great University with this staff. Let’s go Bowling! #HabitsReflectTheMission #Code
The work you’ve done doesn’t go unnoticed🙏 Forever a legend on the microphone for the Bobcats!

Legacy.
This fall, the Cyclones will wear a special decal on our helmets honoring the legacy of Alex Ernst.
Additionally, the Alex Ernst Legacy Scholarship has been established in our program, and awarded for the first time this fall.

Texas State head coach GJ Kinne spent nearly 2min talking about this event last night
Can tell he really enjoyed the experience and he hopes his players sees the beauty in San Marcos
"It's just a real college environment that I think a lot of teams at this level do not experience"

Character is what you do when no one is watching.
Character is how you treat those who can do nothing for you.
Character is how you act when things don't go your way.
Character is how you respond when the going gets tough.
Character is who you are. Character is what endures.
