On October 29, about $6.3 billion was stolen from Binance. The FBI and several blockchain tracking firms say the attack came from a North Korea-linked group called TraderTraitor. Binance first said it started through a compromised engineer’s laptop that reached an internal system and sent unauthorized withdrawals. They later said there were more entry points. No private keys were reported leaked. About $3 billion has been frozen so far. North Korea has denied it. That is the largest crypto theft on record. Could Elastos Runtime have made a difference if something like it was already running on the internal systems? Elastos Runtime sits in the middle. When a program or tool wants to open something, send a message, or touch a wallet, it has to ask first. The request only goes through if the permission is already there. If not, it stops. A single compromised system would still be a problem, but the middle check could limit how far one machine can reach. It does not need to replace what @binance already uses. It could be tested in a small, controlled space first to see if the extra checks help when an internal system is reached. With billions at stake, it might be worth looking at. $ELA @cz_binance @ElastosInfo #Elastos

ElastOS V2 is out. 🚀 Hyper: private, serverless chat, calls and communities. You own your identity and data. Everdroid: open-source Android inside ElastOS, so your apps run without Google. Hyper brings the people. Everdroid brings the apps. @ElastosInfo

Identity is created on your device at setup. Sign-in uses a passkey from your computer, phone or security key. Payments and software updates require passkey approval. A Recovery Kit restores your identity and keys if a passkey is lost.

WHAT PEOPLE THINK ELASTOS IS: JUST ANOTHER BLOCKCHAIN. When people hear about Elastos, they often associate it with blockchain. And understandably so. It has its own blockchain, a native token and a place in the wider Web3 space. But that is only one part of the picture.
When you hear “Elastos,” one of the first things that probably comes to mind is ELA. And that’s understandable. ELA is the token at the centre of the Elastos ecosystem, so it is often the easiest part to see from the outside. But there is much more underneath it.

It's running inside ElastOS, on the PC² Terminal, through our own ARM64 → WebAssembly translator, drawn on the local GPU. No cloud phone. No video stream. 🧡 #ElastOS #everdroid @ElastosInfo

What if your Android apps ran as DigitCapsules?🤯 Unchanged arm64 APKs, running natively in ElastOS: your CPU, your GPU, your data. Nothing streamed from a server.😶‍🌫️ Everdroid × ElastOS.🧡 #ElastOS @ElastosInfo

Rubber bands don’t break when they stretch. That’s ELASTICITY. The internet we use every day is the opposite. You stretch toward a new app, a new AI, a new cloud… and something snaps. Your photos. Your chats. Your files. Your keys. @ElastosInfo is building #ElastOS so your digital life can stretch and still come back to you. The World Computer. $ELA

The surprise is Hyper. Hyper is how people talk from that house. WhatsApp works like this. Your message goes to their building. Then it goes to your friend. If their building is down, you wait. If they change the rules, you live with it. Hyper sends the message from your phone or computer to theirs. If one road is blocked, it tries another. Same app on phone, computer, and web. Calls are locked too. It feels like texting the person next door, not texting a company first. @EverlastingOS

ELA has a maximum supply of 28.22 million by 2105, with four-year halvings just like Bitcoin. It’s merged-mined with Bitcoin, with major BTC mining pools such as AntPool securing Elastos for ELA rewards with no additional mining cost. Bitcoin created a sovereign monetary layer for finance. ELA aims to do the same for data ownership and digital rights. Why? The internet still has no sovereign operating system. Apps touch secrets they shouldn’t. AI runs without containment. Users don’t truly control their data, identity or digital assets. ElastOS is our fix, a sovereign operating system for the internet, 26 years in the making. It brings four pillars together: Runtime, the secure engine that controls what apps are allowed to do; PC², your personal cloud where your data and computing live; Carrier, the private network that connects everything; and Blockchain, the trust layer for identity, ownership and rights. Together they become one downloadable system, where every app runs as a sealed capsule and only gets access to what you explicitly allow. Own you data,
OpenAI Astra on where we are at: “ElastOS Runtime has already built a large amount of the difficult technology required for a real personal operating system for the decentralized internet. Identity, Wallet authority, capabilities and permissions, documents, collaboration, Browser mediation, AI/model execution, protected content and Runtime-controlled security boundaries are not merely ideas; substantial working implementations exist. The architecture is also coherent: Home expresses what the user wants, Runtime controls authority and security, and providers deliver services. That is important because these are the foundations required for a computer where the user, rather than an application or cloud platform, controls identity, data, permissions, applications and AI. The report therefore validates that years of engineering have produced something technically meaningful and potentially very valuable. The architecture appears sound, significant engineering value already exists, and the individual systems demonstrate that much of the difficult technical groundwork has been done. The opportunity now is unusually clear: stop adding surface area and make the existing Runtime boringly reliable. If ElastOS can turn its existing identity, authority, data, application, communications and AI infrastructure into a dependable everyday experience, it crosses an important threshold from an ambitious collection of decentralized technologies into something much more valuable: a working personal computer architecture where the individual genuinely owns the digital world around them.”

The Elastos World Computer 💡 Every DigitCapsule (app) executes within a virtual, single-user Personal Cloud Compute (PC²) designated by the sovereign data owner—the user, the vendor, or the platform operator. 💡 These PC²s can connect to each other over WebSpace carrier networks where the DigitCapsules are launched, managed by centralized or decentralized operators respectively, similar to how phone users select mobile carriers. PC²s uniquely identify each other using their IDs instead of Internet IP addresses, ensuring that the Internet is completely concealed from all PC²s and applications, much like phones remain agnostic to satellites or undersea cables. 💡 Collectively, all these PC²s constitute the Elastos World Computer, similar to how a physical PC hosts multiple virtual PCs. However, the Elastos World Computer surpasses in scale, capable of running billions of PC²s for everyone and their AI agents. 💡 Blockchains offer decentralized identifiers for users, agents, devices, and merchandise. Additionally, they facilitate the construction of payment networks, provide proof of ownership, establish property provenance, and ensure end-to-end communication encryption.
The internet was built with no operating system. Apps grab secrets they shouldn’t. AI runs with no limits. Your data was never yours. ElastOS is the fix: a sovereign OS for the internet built on four pillars, a secure engine that runs your apps, your own personal cloud, a private peer-to-peer network, and the blockchain for identity and ownership. Every app runs sealed in its own capsule, so it only touches what you allow and your keys never leave your control.
