Since when did causing catastrophic harm become the trendy new corporate sales pitch tho?
BREAKING: Anthropic warns in its IPO filing that a catastrophic AI-related incident could cause harm on a scale that no single insurer, and “potentially the insurance industry in the aggregate,” could cover.
The filing says Anthropic’s insurance may not be enough to cover the liabilities it faces, especially if one incident or a group of incidents causes disproportionate harm.

There's a reason we have emotions like depression. I keep hearing various proponents of what sounds like AI-crafted Soma straight out of "Brave New World" acting like it's only brain chems causing problems and that's all, as if the reality one lives in has nothing to do with it. Making a drug that makes you feel happy about the things that made you so deeply sad in the first place actually sounds like being trapped inside your brain inside a waking nightmare.

I’ve seen enough grown ups, I think I’ll pass if it’s all the same.

I have a grandbaby and a ten year old at home😌
Being in your 50s is honestly hilarious. 😂
One friend is a grandma, another still has a 10-year-old at home. One is celebrating 25 years of marriage, while another is dating someone who’s 25. One looks like they haven’t aged since 35, and another threw their back out just by sneezing.
Some are planning retirement, others are starting over after divorce. Some are becoming empty nesters, while others are still attending school meetings and making lunches. Some are booking cruises, others are discovering dating apps for the first time.
Half of us are saying, “Life is just getting started!” while the other half need three business days to recover from sleeping in the wrong position.
We’re all the same age, yet somehow living completely different lives. 😂
Nobody warned us that our 50s would look this chaotic, unpredictable, and entertaining. Honestly, we deserve a group discount on therapy, multivitamins, and heating pads. 😭
Gas & groceries priced high.
Houses unaffordable.
Epstein perps walk free.
Deep state animals well fed and sleek. We are at war. We are still exorbitantly taxed at every level by corrupt government. We are regulated to death by power drunk agencies. I better go vote!

(repeating for emphasis because not only are we already there, but we have been for a while and not enough people are questioning just how long that while has actually been)

All things recorded digitally should be considered unreliable - we need to use film 🎥 again

Best sleep I've had in so many years, I lost count.
(And I was sleeping on a cheap cot.)

At this point voting for either the Democrats or the Republicans is like an abused wife taking her husband back after he claims for the 700th time to not beat her anymore.

Every single day lately feels like waiting for a camera crew to pop out of the bushes and go, “So how did you like the game show?”
So here’s a thought. Instead of subsidizing giant pharmaceutical companies at taxpayer expense, why not offer multimillion dollar prizes for people or companies that can find cures, not treatments, for major health problems? Want to get rich? Find a cure.
