UC vs. Miami is a BIG local game, yet so many fans are going to be left out because of the small venue.

Honestly that’s not what this is. The people who truly were excited have lost the accessibility to the product or have simply given up trying. So the true collectors, or families that this would be a magical experience to open and enjoy have been priced out of the product by middle aged men who decided a children’s card game is an investment asset or side hustle. It’s kind of sad what the hobby and community have become. It’s not the community that I knew and loved and built and competed in and I completely lost the joy and magic that I had for 35 beautiful years surrounding Pokemon cards.
I’ve never seen so much hype for months and then no one cares on day 2 of release.
This is the result of knowing every little detail about something way before you get to experience it.
It’s like studying a restaurant menu months before you go, already knowing exactly what you are getting.
The magic of spontaneity & surprise is gone.
