Helping a person experiencing a mental health crisis. The Missouri Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) has been training law enforcement how to de-escalate and safely interact in such situations. #FBI St. Louis and CIT are proactively identifying and helping individuals get help before they continue down a path of violence where police are called. Thank you to the St. Louis area chapter for recognizing one of our supervisory special agents with this year's leadership award. He created a St. Louis area threat assessment team consisting of local law enforcement and behavioral health experts working together monthly to proactively identify and help individuals with concerning behavior.

What a heart-warming treat! Junior Special Agent Tyler Patchin visited our office and read from his recently published book, "Smore the Stealthy Shinobi." The story teaches that anyone can do sneaky acts of kindness when no one is watching to make the world a kinder place. During the visit, the men and women of #FBI St. Louis presented his family with an engraved stone in memory of Tyler's older brother, who passed away this year from brain cancer. Older brother Drew had dreamed of becoming an FBI special agent. In June 2023, the two boys were sworn in as FBI junior special agents and solved the case of the stolen championship trophy. Case update from @FBIStLouis : Eric Washington was sentenced to 30 years in prison for a 2023 murder-for fire plot. Around 10 p.m. on July 6, 2023, Washington picked up Andreaia Worthem from her home in St. Louis County and drove her to St. Louis, where he shot her multiple times. The murder came during an attempt by Worthem’s son, Andrew C. Hubbard, to profit from a $150,000 insurance policy that he'd obtained for her. Learn more: justice.gov/usao-edmo/pr/sho…

Two suspects arrested less than 36 hours after the fatal shooting on Interstate 170 in St. Louis County last week. In an effort to generate new leads in these cases, we worked together with our law enforcement partners to distribute Missouri Cold Case playing cards in state prisons. The cards feature a photo and details about an unsolved homicide, missing person, or unidentified remains case. Each week, we will feature one of these unsolved cases. On July 22, 2013 fire department personnel responded to a house fire in Green Ridge, Pettis County, Missouri. Barbara Hudson and her son, Jeremiah Hudson, were located deceased inside the residence.
