A few weeks ago we launched the @USDA Office of Seafood — and yesterday we continued that momentum by meeting with our greatest fisherman from Oregon, Alaska, Texas, North Carolina, Maine, and Massachusetts. We are committed to helping fishermen navigate USDA programs and get the recognition and support they deserve as vital food producers, just like farmers and ranchers.

We’re rolling back Biden’s giveaway of prime fishing grounds to offshore wind companies and restoring American seafood competitiveness.

As part of Operation Stork Speed, the FDA’s largest-ever study of infant formula found that most products contain undetectable or very low levels of contaminants. fda.gov/food/infant-formula-…
More than 300 products were tested and over 120,000 data points were analyzed, affirming the infant formula supply is safe.
Today, @FDAfood and @HHSGov is releasing results from the largest and most rigorous examination to date of chemical contaminants in infant formula in the U.S. 👇
While breast milk is considered the gold standard and optimal source of nutrition for infants, millions of parents depend on formula.
In a market basket survey representative of infant formula products sold in the United States, FDA tested hundreds of infant formula samples (generating more than 120,000 data points) for lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, pesticides (including glyphosate and glufosinate), per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and phthalates.
Market basket data serve as a tool to inform the agency’s understanding of contamination levels and to guide flute actions and risk management approaches.
