On 29 October 2026, South Sudan Freight Forwarders Association delegation attended the graduation ceremony of the first cohort of FIATA Diploma, at the invitation of the Chairperson of Uganda Freight Forwarders Association (UFFA).
Our delegation was led by the President, accompanied by four members.
UFFA has outsourced its training and capacity-building function to Graben Logistics Academy (GLA).
On 30 October, the delegation visited GLA to understand its institutional setup, inspect its learning management system, and exchange knowledge on virtual learning and possible collaboration.
Both institutions resolved to continue the engagement.
For SSFFA, the visit offered a practical reference for building internationally recognised, accessible training for South Sudan's freight forwarders and customs agents.
We thank UFFA and GLA for their hospitality and openness, and congratulate the graduating class.
FEAFFA held fruitful discussions with @ITS_UCDavis to explore collaboration on scaling up green freight through electrification.
As East Africa's logistics sector shifts towards decarbonization, partnerships are key to advancing cleaner, more sustainable freight transport.
