No doubt that post Ipswich AA lost some of the fans. At best (me included) there were huge concerns. The key thing, he didn't lose the players, like many managers do. They are playing for him. He also took onboard that the bond with the fans was important which he has embraced

🚨 Álvaro Arbeloa and Fulham have been heavily criticised this season. My opinion is the exact opposite of the common consensus. I believe that he has the potential to be the next ELITE coach in the sport. Below, in an in-depth tactical thread, I break down why… THREAD! 👇

Some have gone so hard on Arbeloa its a hill they are prepared to die on. Almost to the point where they need him to fail in order to save face. AA is learning on the job and building a bond with the fans. Long may it continue.
Sometimes, it can be quite exhausting to read just pure negative comments. Emery is arguably the best manager in the Premier League, and Fulham were 100% the better side in large parts of that second half. That’s down to Arbeloa’s style and tactics. It was incredibly refreshing. Yes, it’s not perfect, yes we haven’t taken big chances, but as Arbeloa said, he would be more worried if we weren’t creating those chances in games. But we are, because we have good, talented and technical players in key areas. A new manager, it’ll always take time to get to the levels he’d want, but to be almost the laughing stock of the league after three games, to looking fairly solid whilst still having that attacking threat is to be commended. Two points won at Anfield and Villa Park, where last season under Silva, we folded like a deck of cards. I’m seeing more positives than negatives with Arbeloa. Up the Fulham. #FFC

Watched the game back. We were superb in the second half. A very well earned point. Credit to Robbo after his disaster class midweek he bounced back strong. And huge credit to AA. Turned things around and forming a bond with the fans.

I actually think Arbeloa deserves much more credit for turning this around. Post Palace, we were in full on panic mode. Since then, one league defeat in six. But even since the disaster at Ipswich, Fulham have responded incredibly well. The cup game was a disappointment, but I don’t think that was on AA. Let’s be honest, he was probably on the brink of the sack just three weeks ago, but has picked up seven good points, and in my eyes, changed the opinion of most neutrals. I don’t think Fulham fans are completely sold yet, but that second half performance last night was outstanding, in terms of finding ways to attack, stifling Villa’s threats and avoiding defeat. We were rock bottom after Palace in the league, but he re-jigged things, found a balance and we’ve instantly improved. He now has got that key relationship with the fan base, and it looks like everyone is playing for him. Fulham haven’t sacked a manager since 2019, and I’m glad the Khans stuck to their guns, despite the noise. I was of the opinion, he deserves one last chance, the Hull game, he won the game and has picked up another four points. Likeable, approachable and clearly a manager who is finding his feet, and getting results after a really difficult start. #FFC

FT 1-1 First half Villa's, second half mostly Fulham. Not a chance Fulham struggle this season, seeds are there for a good young side in the making, creative, pacey, controlling. Tactically, Arbaloa got the second half spot on, always had a spare man. Villa's issue was midfield legs second half and couldn't string passages of play together to create anything regularly, easily turned over which Fulham pounced on. To the Camp Nou.

Is @whitenoise run by a different person these days? I'm blocked for whatever reason but have seen some posts, never use to be like that.

Little rant but not at Arbeloa. Not sure what more he could have done. Dominated and created enough chances. Individuals have to be better. Simple

Not sure what else Arbeloa could have done tonight. Must be pulling his hair out that we can't finish and get done by some really poor defending. We simply have to take a couple of those chances. Unacceptable performances from certain individuals tonight. ⚫⚪#FFC #FulhamFC

I think we agree we need more from our strikers but can we stop begging for Muniz to come on. Garcia needs to get better and adapt but there is no doubt that developing him is a better option than Muniz

I don't think I'm exaggerating here, but in 35 years of watching Fulham live Robinson might have just produced the worst individual display I've ever witnessed

That half summed up our season. Palace are awful and here we are again. Surely has to change in the second half

Arbeloa has made his mind up about ESR. I'd have to agree. Simply not been good since we paid the record fee. Let's hope we can recoup some of that money.

In the last few transfer windows we've made some mistakes, most clubs do. Shea Charles and David Affengruber do not fall into that category.

Think they’re more than entitled to be fucked off. Fulham are by far and away the worst team in this division. Wank players with terrible coaching staff. Away is always tough but no excuses really. If you want to stay up, you get minimum 4 off Fulham, if not the full 6.
