Blended finance done right de-risks the first mover, not the tenth. That's where we @FIP_Impact focuses.

An SME with a good product but no working capital is a growth story that never gets told. We help tell it.

Access to finance isn't just about credit lines. It's collateral reform, credit bureaus, digital ID, and risk-sharing that make lending viable.

Small businesses are the backbone of frontier economies, and the most starved of capital. Closing that gap is core to our work. #A2F

Most smallholder farms don't have a yield problem they have a post-harvest loss problem. Fix storage and handling before you fix the field.

Access to markets isn't just about roads. It's about grades, traceability, standards, and trust. The farms that scale are the ones that learn to speak the buyer's language.

Climate resilience for farms isn't one big investment, it's a portfolio of small buffers: diversified crops, water storage, flexible contracts, local processing.

A resilient food system isn't the one with the highest yields. It's the one that keeps functioning when one link in the chain breaks.

This is a great article. Well elaborated 5 challenges affecting African agricultural export. 🤝
THE REAL BARRIERS TO AFRICAN AGRICULTURAL EXPORTS AND WHY THE STANDARD DIAGNOSIS FALLS SHORT. Ask most development reports what's holding back African agricultural exports, and you'll get a familiar list: bad roads, weak certification systems, limited financing, currency headaches, and climate risk. All true. All incomplete. The problem with treating these as five separate line items is that it invites five separate interventions: a road project here, a certification training there, when the real story is how these constraints interact and compound. The data bears this out. Understanding the interaction is the difference between an export strategy that works and one that produces a nice pilot project with no scale. Start with what you have. Improve what you can. Scale when the numbers make sense. Great farms are built one good decision at a time.
