#IF came in at $33 million, I was way off with a prediction of $43 million. Taking an "L" on this one. Record so far is 1/2. Next up: Furiosa and Garfield.

My prediction for the opening weekend of John Krasinski's #IF is 43.2 million. Factors in this movie's favor include it being the first high-profile family film, Paramount's improved marketing in the past couple years, and the Ryan Reynolds draw.

#KingdomOfThePlanetOfTheApes came in at $58.5 million at the domestic box office in its opening weekend. My projection was $61.5 million, $3 million off, so I'm taking a "W" on this one. I'm going to start predicting the summer weekends going forward. Krasinski's IF is next.
