Eddie Howe is the right man for the United job. He’s the type of manager Manchester United needs, a club builder. That doesn’t mean he’ll be successful because those above him are an incompetent disgrace and he’ll have to make a big step up coming from Newcastle but he’s my pick.

Not a sexy pick because of his pedigree in the game but out of all the realistic options I’ve seen touted he’s the only one that I could actually imagine pulling off a successful rebuild of the football club. He may not be ready to make the jump but he’s the best option.

If there aren’t major changes at the directorial level it won’t really matter who the manager is. The board doesn’t recruit properly and doesn’t give the manager the resources to be competitive. If that doesn’t change it won’t matter, but at the managerial level I back Howe.

Best World Cup player? No Best Champions League player? No Best Bundesliga player? No Balon D’or? Yes One of the least deserving Balon D’or winners ever!
Michael Olise has been voted Best player in the Bundesliga this season by fellow Bundesliga players. 199 players took part in the yearly @kicker survey. Second place went to Yan Diomande, third to Luka Vušković. Harry Kane was voted fourth, with Luis Díaz completing the top 5

Some call him the Ballon d'Or winner, I call him 'The Traitor of England' for his continuously disastrous showings in international tournament KO games that have cost England at least one major title!

God knows what criteria these journalists who vote actually follow. World Cup? No can't be that, wasn't even best player on his own team. CL? Nope. Performances? Definitely not!

Harry Kane the Balon D'or winner who was outperformed by Bellingham for country and Olise for club.

Bellingham finishing 11th in Balon D'or is ridiculous. He was the 2nd best player in the World Cup only behind the deserving winner Messi. He'll never be appreciated for how good he is, one of one mental + physical profile and the most complete player in world football today.

Best player by far at the biggest tournament by far. 39 years old and still showed the likes of Yamal, Kane, Mbappe, Jude etc. absolute levels. They robbed him for the Golden Ball and it will be a robbery when he doesn't get the Balon D'or.

If I was elected president of France Football I'd ban all non-attackers from eligiblity for the Balon D'or. We can make another award for them, maybe something like best irrelevant footballer of the year or best shit footballer (the name is still a work in progress)

In all seriousness: Best GK, Best DEF, best CM. Then the Balon D'or is for real footballers only (attackers)

Harry Kane winning the Balon D'or would be the worst thing to ever happen to football apart from that time Rodri won it which would be the actual worst thing that ever happened if not for the time that fucking Modric won it.

It might sound unfair but there needs to be a certain level that a player has to be at to even be eligible to win the Balon D'or. JORGINHO got 3rd one year, Jorginho shouldn't even be an option on the fucking ballot.

Absolutely absurd piece of skill by Jude Bellingham. The modern day reincarnation of Zinedine Zidane.

INEOS has got every single major decision wrong. Backed ETH then sacked him after a couple months, hired Amorim (awful hire) backed him after the worst season since the 70s, then sacked him after a few months. Now they’ve backed carrick and will sack him after a couple months.

They’ll make another bad decision and hire the incompetent hipster Nagelsmann next.

Fully supportive of Carrick’s decision to bench Bruno and strip him of the captaincy. I have defended Bruno in the past and he’s a terrific player but his behaviour after Como was absolutely disgraceful and unbecoming of a Manchester United captain.

I agree Nagelsmann is very United-coded. He’s a dreadful manager who will fail miserably and that’s been the type we tend to go for as of late.
Julian Nagelsmann is the most ‘United-coded’ candidate on the shortlist for me. Bit of a nutter off the pitch but you’d hope he would’ve learned a few things from that.

He’s a bum who’s achieved nothing of relevance in his entire career. I’ll spare our clueless fans who are fooled by his “aura” the hipster ass skateboard and his cool sounding German name. The board on the other hand will hire yet another loser and be shocked when he loses.

To be clear there is no realistic hire that will change anything anyway but Nagelsmann is about as bad as it gets.
