🎵 Union Busting Is Disgusting 🎶
Incredible solidarity from the people of Manchester last night in support of our leaders at Kimpton Clocktower after they were suspended for minor infractions by IHG days after lodging a collective grievance re: working conditions and for union recognition.
To prevent further escalation, senior management at the hotel must reinstate our reps and meet with our members to discuss these serious issues and a pathway to union recognition.
484 workers sacked.
15 minute teams call with CEO.
25 minutes notice.
Cameras turned off.
No questions allowed.
BrewDog are a national disgrace and we won’t stop until those responsible are held accountable: legally and financially.
Tilray Brands enters agreement to acquire @BrewDog’s key U.S. assets, expanding its U.S. craft beer platform.

Workers at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester city centre have taken the historic decision to unionise at one of the largest hotel chains in the world✊
In the days after submitting a collective grievance, staff faced derogatory comments for engaging in Union activity and refusal from management to even consider the request for formal union recognition - a basic workers’ right.
More seriously, they believe they are being subject to Union Victimisation through suspected breach of surveillance laws and the suspension of a team member involved in the union.
Three workers involved in the campaign have said:
"Breaking our backs for lazy management that don’t care about our wellbeing in and out of work has to stop. Having our concerns repeatedly ignored has forced us to join together to fight for a better workplace."
"Hospitality workers face some of the lowest pay and worst working conditions in the UK. We are just asking for basic things like respect & dignity"
“IHG had a 13% increase in operating profit to $1.27 billion in 2025 yet have chosen to to union bust instead of engage with the real concerns of it's staff"
Our union is calling for Kimpton Hotel management to acknowledge the collective grievances and open discussion with their staff 📣

🚨 The way in which workers have been treated by @brewdogofficial is nothing short of a national disgrace and the Directors responsible must be held to account.
We are now working with members to ensure that they receive everything they are entitled to.
Why does the press know more than workers about the sale of their own employer?
Workers @BrewDog have still not been told anything other than to be prepared - with 30 minutes notice - for a call with CEO.
Even in the 11th hour of this sale, senior management is failing in its legal and moral duty to consult with the workers who built this business about their own jobs.
A national disgrace.
Revealed: Tilray Brands’ acquisition of BrewDog will include its Ellon brewery in Scotland, alongside most of the company’s assets in the UK, US and Australia, although some of its British bars will be left behind and not form part of the deal. More on my @SkyNews blog soon.
We can confirm that Unite the union have formally reported @Village_Hotels
and @mintpeople_jobs to the @biztradegovuk for unlawful use of agency labour during lawful industrial action.
Village continue to spend a fortune on scab labour, including flying staff to Glasgow from sites across the country for extended stays rather than meet our members demands for fair and equal pay.
If money is not a problem for @Village_Hotels and #Blackstone then why won’t this hugely profitable company pay young workers equally at the real living wage?!
📢 Big news coming out of @villagehotels in Leeds 🚨
Senior management had refused to meet workers collectively but have been forced to pay-out £££s after 2/3 of workers voted for strike action.
🚨Breaking. Pizza Express, Norwich St Benedict’s.
👉Senior management refuse to negotiate over long standing issues on victimisation, rotas, contracts & overtime.
👉We will be looking to publicly escalate unless @PizzaExpress come back with an improved offer.

Unite’s members at @Village_Hotels in Leeds are fighting for decency, fairness and equality in the workplace. The fact is that Village Hotels is refusing to pay its workers the real living wage. This is an incredibly wealthy business refusing to pay low paid workers what they deserve. It is shameful and unacceptable.
@unitetheunion will fully support the Village Hotels workers in their brave fight for better #JobsPayConditions
The first cinema strike to hit Britain for almost a decade; 80% of workers at @vuecinemas in Glasgow walked out yesterday and crippled their flagship venue.
What do they want? A wage they can live on and transport home from a company that made £25m in profit last year alone!
