The numbers suggest that if we look at the next 5 games for each team, the Jaguars, Bengals and Cowboys will be playing the easiest schedules. The Vikings will go from playing one of the easiest schedules (in Weeks 1-7) to one of the hardest, with their next 5 games.

Seattle's attempts to replace Walker through the draft and veteran signings have struggled with injuries and turnovers. Would the Seahawks be better record-wise with Walker? Probably. Recent NFL trends show that running backs frequently outperform their contracts with new teams.

Jalen Hurts won’t be in uniform on Sunday, and he may not return to the field in 2026. He has a blood clot in his calf. Now the Eagles turn to Tanner McKee. He’s passed for 510 yards, with 4 TDs and 1 Int, in his 2 regular-season starts Can he get the Eagles out of trouble?

There’s been some discussion or questions about Jaleel McLaughlin (pictured). The former Bronco was signed by Cleveland when they lost Dylan Sampson, and now they've also lost Raheim Sanders and possibly Quinshon Judkins. Will McLaughlin be a Week 6 starter?

Let’s not be too quick to dismiss the Rams as a serious contender. Their upcoming schedule suggests they’re about as likely as any to lead the league in scoring until Thanksgiving. Their next five are against the Cardinals, Raiders, Chargers, Commanders and Cardinals.

The Cardinals just lost their up-and-coming left tackle, Paris Johnson, to a season-ending biceps injury. But one would be inclined to roll out the key players in that offense anyway. They’re at home, and they’re facing a defense that’s been pretty putrid in the Lions.

Many could be missing out on Miami’s backfield. Ollie Gordon was the hot waiver pickup this week, but is he going to be better than Jaylen Wright? Wright was higher than Gordon on the depth chart all of last season averaging 4.1 YPC, Gordon averaged over a yard less (2.8).

Hard to believe this is the same guy who was the runner-up in the MVP voting. It’s a slump that began in last season’s playoffs. Drake Maye in his last 7 games has averaged 202 passing yards, with 7 TDs, 10 ints, 30 sacks and 9 fumbles. Will Maye get back to where he was?

We’re only three weeks into the season, and already a half dozen teams have used multiple starting quarterbacks. If form holds, some of these guys will end up being surprisingly productive. Thus far, six teams have plugged in new starters at quarterback, and all have won games.

For the Texans, we don’t see a lot of difference between Xavier Hutchinson, Jaylin Noel and Kayshon Boutte. For the Ravens, Rashod Bateman is by far their most experienced option. But he’s provided more misses than hits since they selected him in the 1st round of the 2021 draft.
