this is like somebody who has never been on a roller coaster saying 'i've never been on a roller coaster but I'm much happier than the people I know who have been on roller coasters'.
Seth Rogen says he and his wife are now more grateful than ever that they decided not to have children heโs not afraid to explain why.
He admits they used to question whether theyโd made the right decision, but now their conversations have shifted to, โHonestly, thank God we donโt have children.โ
His reasoning? Theyโre in the prime of their lives, understand themselves better than ever, and have the freedom to pursue their careers, enjoy life, and build the kind of relationship theyโve always wanted.
But Seth took it a step further, saying he sees people with children struggling to find the same time for work and personal enjoyment that he and his wife have.
โI seem to get a lot more active enjoyment out of not having kids than anyone I know seems to get out of having kids.โ
That statement will probably divide people. Some see raising children as lifeโs greatest joy, while others believe a fulfilling life doesnโt have to include parenthood.
Do you think Seth has a point, or is there a kind of happiness you can only understand after having children?
it doesn't really matter what Seth Rogan thinks. he's not an authority on the matter. listen to Bob Odenkirk instead.

it finally happened. well done @Deaconposting
so... if i returned to streaming hypothetically... how could i possibly play gta 6 knowing that this became a thing since i went dark.
just thinking about the effect that idolizing Picard had on millennials as kids vs the effect Captain Kirk has on boomers. products of the times, of course, but i feel it is a appropriate microcosm of the generational divide.
it can be endearing. like when we were given cotton candy by an ojiisan at a small matsuri and he said "japanese sweet. enjoy."
this is why i perform above my actual level in Japanese, i have absolutely no problem mimicking the native Japanese accent.
this is so fucking cool

my timeline is 10 years before most households have a jack-o-lantern wrangling robot.
I see how some people can watch flashy robot demos on the timeline and think with a shiver that the robot apocalypse is around the corner, but reality check:
There is no robot in the world that can change the batteries in a jack-o-lantern.
If you have a robot friendly door handle it might be able to walk outside, pick it up, and carry it back inside. The robot could open the drawer with your batteries in it, but then things get tough.
Opening the package of AA batteries?
Extracting a precision screwdriver from its case?
Unscrewing four tiny screws that require a hard press and twist?
Popping batteries out of the case?
Yes, you could build and train a specialist robot to do that today, but there is a very long way to go to replace the full range of human capabilities. Near term doomer scenarios should stop at โsecretly controlling humanityโ instead of โwiping humanity outโ ๐
