Binance's initial investigation suggests that the security incident may involve a compromised DevOps engineer’s laptop, which allowed an attacker to gain access to a service container and submit unauthorized withdrawal transactions. We have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak. We will share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and the facts are fully verified.
The estimated total impact sits at around $6.3B. We have worked with blockchain partners to freeze affected assets, with ~$3 billion frozen on-chain so far.
Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and the company’s funds. User funds are safe. We will also publish an updated Proof of Reserves once the remediation is complete.
As an immediate precaution, Binance has:
- temporarily suspended deposits and withdrawals while security checks are completed;
- revoked the affected address authorisation;
- engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds.
Our teams are working around the clock to resolve this issue safely and thoroughly. We are working closely with our law enforcement partners to confirm the identity of these criminals and bring them to justice.
Please rely only on official Binance channels for updates. Please feel free to contact Binance Customer Support if you have any further questions.

Anthropic has a new feature for managers…
With “smart reports”, they can totally see inefficient AI usage, but hey, they warn managers to not use it for this.

PROTON SAYS 2026 IS ITS LAST YEAR HIRING ENGINEERS
Proton is the Swiss company behind Proton Mail and Proton VPN. It sells privacy as the alternative to Big Tech.
CEO Andy Yen wrote it to staff in Slack: "This will be the last year that we hire engineers." Starting next year, he said, Proton hires product managers to build things with AI.
The CTO says AI wrote 90% of Proton's code in October, and a staffer who asked for security testing was told it was "loser thinking." Employees now face re-interviews on their AI use.
An internal document says Proton is behind its revenue target and calls the company "underperforming." 🤔
Are we all just okay with this??
@grok describe the Soviet flag
A new Mandela Effect is rising.
Since when does the Soviet flag carry a star above the hammer and sickle?
Many of us remember it clearly without one.
If you recall the flag without the star… you may be from the old Earth.
Shifted into this denser, clown-world timeline.
The memory itself is the proof.
The body knows.
The soul knows.
We are not crazy.
We are remembering.
I miss the old Earth too.
Yet we are here now to hold the Light and anchor a higher one.
Who else feels this?
Nooooooo it can’t be true

One of the most effective corpo power moves I’ve ever seen is a senior manager just demolishing a bag of chips during a meeting without a single fuck in the world
Every word he spoke sent crumbs and spit flying in every direction
He even sucked on his fingers after to tea bag everyone in the room…
I looked up his profile and noticed more promos in a short time than I’ve ever seen and left for another promo
Absolute master class, you really are just over thinking it
