For refugee children, sitting the same national exams as their peers can open doors to more opportunities.
Last week, @UNHCR_Kenya signed an MoU with @KNECKenya to help refugee learners take those exams and earn qualifications recognised across Kenya.

Across Kenya, colleagues, partners and community workers protect and support refugees and host communities every day.
On #WorldHumanitarianDay, I honour their service and remember more than 80 aid workers killed worldwide this year. Humanitarians must never be targets.

Humanitarians stand with people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Across Kenya, they provide protection and life-saving assistance to refugees and other communities in need.
To humanitarians in Kenya 🇰🇪 and everywhere: thank you. #WorldHumanitarianDay
Kenya’s long history of protecting refugees reflects the enduring principles of the 1951 Refugee Convention.
As we mark 75 years, we recognise Kenya’s continued commitment to advancing protection, inclusion and opportunities for refugees and host communities.
Pleased to have joined colleagues from @DRSKenya, @UNICEFKenya & partners to advance inclusion of refugee children in Kenya's national child protection system.
Building on strong Gov't leadership, we discussed practical actions to make inclusion a reality through Shirika Plan.
Strengthening 🇰🇪 national child protection system means ensuring no child is left behind.

In Dadaab, Aden is not waiting for others to tell his community’s story.
Through his YouTube channel, he's showing the talent & everyday life that often goes unseen.
This #WorldRefugeeDay, he reminds us that safety is also the freedom to be heard, seen & known on your own terms.

My first visit to Kakuma as @UNHCR_Kenya Representative, ahead of #WorldRefugeeDay, was a chance to listen and learn from refugees, host communities and partners.
From sport and livelihoods to refugee-led action, I saw how inclusion creates opportunity and strengthens solutions.
