i think women who engage in casual and even risky sex do not deserve to be sexually assaulted

I really love Hal in Lanterns. I think having a super hero with passive suicidal ideation continuously push through that with willpower, and have the courage to continue fighting and save people speaks wonders to me.

The easy joke is that women's spaces actively encourage male hatred, so they assume that men must do the same.
The funnier joke is that men don't actually know what men do in male spaces either, because male spaces haven't existed since ~2005

There’s this prevalent belief that male spaces are predominantly places where they go to bitch about the opposite sex or their girlfriends, because that’s what many female spaces are - when male spaces are mainly just to talk about cars and video games and shitposts.

Someone on here said that the stupid #Lanterns takes on social media are proof that we’re not ready for projects that don’t hold your hand and explain every action in detail but I disagree.
I think it’s proof that there need to be more projects like this so that mfs can learn.

People constantly talk about lanterns destroying Hal’s reputation this is the first time I’ve heard people talk about the green lantern in any positive light since that movie came out in 2011 bro😭

Comic purists deserved nothing, continue to deserve nothing, and will always deserve nothing.

Are people really incapable of understanding that Hal breaking a suicidal family cycle because of his innate will power just further enhances him as a character and as a Green Lantern?
Episode 7 ending with kid Hal picking up the ball his father told him to throw away because it’s “exhausting” to hold onto it, sub-textually being a metaphor for living and how at some point it’s not worth it, is really damn good writing especially if it suggests what we think it does for the finale.

Genuinely how do you watch this show and think they are clowning on Hal when every episode he becomes a more layered deep and rich character. Kyle Chandler is just amazing in the role

Yeah, I believe that too. In that last scene, I think the baseball represents his willpower to hold onto it, going against what his dad told him, a way to distance himself from the "Jordan legacy." That exact same willpower that kept the "ball" with him, which made him a green -
