God, Lanterns is really showing why people need yellow paint in games. I'm seeing people not understand show budgets because things aren't exploding every two mins. I'm seeing people not follow basic character arcs and dialogue. Literally saw someone ask how John became rich in 2026 when that very episode has him expositing what happened. I'm seeing people questioning why John didn't have a suit as if his entire character arc wasn't about him doing what others wanted of him but what he truly wants and on his terms; he is John Stewart before he's a Green Lantern. Like goddamn man

Classic pitfall of an “extended universe.” In Lanterns, Guy is a vain, idiotic tool who sold out to a group of extremely shady, paranoid space cops for glory. But in the DCU broadly, Guy is a hero and treating him this way is absurd. The shared universe creates a problem here.
