I chose to highlight that encounter because it’s a notoriously difficult part of the game but so much of the encounters are much more dense and layered, putting it more on par with arcade action platformers. Here’s another particularly dense and chaotic section.

I like a lot of the Castlevania games but I always feel a lot of the games need an extra layer or two of something going on, something in the level design, hazards, enemies, to really take it to the next level.
I feel like Adventure Rebirth is the answer to that for me.

If you're a beat em up fan and haven't put time into The King of Dragons yet, I highly recommend prioritizing that one. It taught me so much about herd management that I could easily overlook in a game with more player mechanics.
