41 years ago (22/6/1981) Kate Bush released 'Sat In Your Lap' her 1st single from The Dreaming.
Written pre the release of Never For Ever (8/9/1980), it was just a piano progression til a shot of percussive inspiration at a Stevie Wonder Wembley gig (7/9/1980) changed all that!

44 years ago Kate Bush had just reached No. 1 with her debut single, Wuthering Heights & the music world discovered a groundbreaking artist & true music icon. Written in just one night on her upright piano at her flat at 44 Wickham Road. A seminal moment.
Happy International Women’s Day to all women, but especially to Mná na h’Eireann - which means Women of Ireland.
I count Kate Bush as an honorary Irish woman. Her mother Hannah was born & raised in Waterford and Irish influences feature in her music @KateBushMusic #BreakTheBias
