"This is an Xbox" was a brand-killing campaign. It told people that they didn't have to buy an Xbox because everything was an Xbox. There's no coming back. Xbox is like a dead tree in the forest that stays standing for years before it finally falls.
Billions of dollars later and still nobody knows what an Xbox is theverge.com/games/883159/ph…
I can't stop thinking about how brilliant this is. This would be like listening to an orchestra and trying to explain what you're hearing. "The violins are starting... Wait a minute, I think I can hear flutes too... Now there's a giant cymbal crash haha!"
This feels like Andy Kaufman-esque performance art to me. Are we sure he isn't a genius?
I love how they put Mouser and Clawgrip in the Super Mario Galaxy movie. More surprisingly, they included the lone red Snifit from Super Mario Bros. 2 that can only be found in level 3-3. That's one of the deepest cuts I've ever seen. Talk about obscure.
The last few episodes have been uneven, but the Stranger Things finale was incredible. It was a return to form for the series, and the last half of the episode had all those wonderful slice of life moments that made the show so endearing in the first place. #StrangerThings5
This video feels like they're rattling off side effects in prescription drug commercials. The music is upbeat and happy, but the information that's being relayed is dreadful.
Nintendo's new EULA makes customers agree to not take part in any class-action lawsuits against the company. It's a safe bet that Joy-Con drift will still be a problem with the Switch 2. Instead of fixing the problem, they're just making it more difficult for people to sue them.
$40 for a piece of Chinese plastic? Ridiculous. They were already out of line before this price increase. Also, those SF6 amiibos look horrible and the scale doesn't even match the existing SF amiibo. They should make characters that people actually care about.
Walmart has also updated the new amiibo pricing ($10 increase):
Street Fighter amiibo from $29.99 to $39.99
Zelda amiibo from $19.99 to $29.99

I guess they could have made the black dude the Pink Ranger instead, but I'm not sure what that would have accomplished. The characters were obviously color coded to make it easier for young children to follow the action during the fight sequences. No serious person was ever offended by the decision.
“Power Rangers” head writer Tony Oliver admits "it was such a mistake" to cast a Black actor to play the Black Ranger and an Asian actor to play the Yellow Ranger.
Oliver says “none of us [were] thinking stereotypes” when these casting decisions were originally made. The series kicked off in August 1993 with Walter Emanuel Jones as Zack Taylor (the first Black Ranger) and Thuy Trang as Trini Kwan (the first Yellow Ranger). It wasn’t until “my assistant pointed it out in a meeting one day” that Oliver realized these castings were upholding stereotypes. During the show's casting, Oliver said the Black ranger "seemed to have the swagger of the group" and the Yellow Ranger was "the peaceful one, who tends to be the conscience of the group." They were looking for actors who had these qualities.

It's fitting that Nintendo Switch 2 carts tastes bad. Everything I've heard about the system has left a bad taste in my mouth.
Switch 2 carts still taste terrible.
Nintendo's Takuhiro Dohta: "We don't want anybody to be at risk of any unwanted consumption. We have indeed made it so that if it enters your mouth, you'll spit it out."

That's (potentially) good news on the d-pad front. I wish the Joy-Cons had a d-pad, however. I hate playing 2D platformers and fighting games in handheld mode. I would be 1000 times more interested in Street Fighter 6 if there was an appropriate way to play it in handheld mode.

I get why they want to highlight new characters, but I imagine people would be a lot more excited to see Chun-Li or Cammy. It reminds me of when Disney opened their Star Wars theme park and filled it with characters that nobody cared about instead of icons like Darth Vader.
I'm not sure why they're so obnoxiously large compared to the other ones. Perhaps they were made larger to justify the fact that they cost $30 each.

The illogical software prices are a much bigger concern than the hardware price. The updated Kirby game is $80, while the new Donkey Kong game is "only" $70. Remasters shouldn't cost more than the new flagships, even if they have new content. (ALL of the content in DK is new content, after all.) Metroid Prime Remastered launched at $40 just two years ago, so these $80 Switch 2 remasters seem like they're way out of line.
