🇪🇺 Je kunt een verkiezing ongeldig verklaren en de winnaar verbieden om deel te nemen (Roemenië), je kunt je tegenstanders voorgoed uitsluiten van deelname (Hongarije), je kunt dreigen de belangrijkste oppositiepartij te verbieden en haar onderwerpen aan meedogenloze onderzoeken door de geheime politie (Duitsland), je kunt dreigen met een verbod voor de voornaamste presidentskandidaat en deze een enkelband laten dragen (Frankrijk), elk lid van je eigen kring kan worden onderzocht wegens corruptie (Spanje), je kunt proberen lokale verkiezingen te schrappen omdat je ze toch zou verliezen (Groot-Brittannië), en je kunt met de oproerpolitie het constitutioneel hof bestormen omdat je er controle over wilt uitoefenen (Polen).
Je kunt dit allemaal simpelweg doen. Het geheim is dat je aan de juiste kant staat als Europeaan

Que no me vengan con que ha sido un error humano.
En el siglo XXI un tren no choca con nada. No puede. Para eso existen el ERTMS, el ASFA, los enclavamientos y los circuitos de vía: para que, cuando el humano se equivoque, la máquina frene sola. Esa es su única función.
Si un AVE con 397 pasajeros ha podido alcanzar a un tren parado, es porque esa capa de protección no estaba. Averiada, desconectada o en modo degradado, da igual. No estaba.
Y un sistema de seguridad que depende de que un operario no se equivoque no es un sistema de seguridad. Es una lotería con horario.
El error humano no es la causa. Es el síntoma. La causa es que alguien decidió que se podía circular a 300 km/h con el sistema principal caído y una persona como único respaldo.
En mi sector, cuando falla el principal, entra el secundario. Cuando falla el secundario, entra el terciario. Cuando no hay terciario, no se sale. Se llama redundancia y no es un lujo. Es lo que separa un incidente de un funeral.
Echarle la culpa al maquinista es lo más barato. Y lo más cobarde.
El que diseñó un sistema donde un humano puede matar a 500 personas, ese es el responsable.

We hebben de Nederlandse regering onlangs expliciet verzocht te reageren op de argumenten op basis waarvan professor Sachs en Diesen hieronder tot de conclusie komen dat Oekraïne door het westen (eerst de VS en nu de EU) al decennia wordt gebruikt en misbruikt om Rusland te verzwakken en te verslaan.
Het kabinet weigert (weigert!) deze vraag van ons te beantwoorden omdat professor Sachs en Diesen “Kremlinpropaganda” zouden verspreiden. Maar als het allemaal slechts propaganda is, dan kan onze regering dit toch makkelijk weerleggen?
Waarom doet het kabinet dit dan niet als de gelegenheid zich voordoet? Waarom kiest het kabinet ervoor zoals u zelf in de beslisnota hieronder kunt lezen geen (geen!) antwoord te geven en wordt door de regering “bewust vermeden om in dergelijke frames mee te gaan”?
Waarom?
Omdat het dus geen “frames” zijn maar omdat het de keiharde waarheid is.👇

Musk runt een privaat bedrijf, en het is normaal dat hij zichzelf niet in een internationale oorlog mengt zonder directe instructies van de Amerikaanse regering.
Dit komt na misleidende rapporten van de WSJ die beweren dat Musk de snelheid van Starlink in Oekraïne heeft vertraagd.. Goedkope beschuldigingen om degene die hen redt te besmeuren!
Je kunt de man dag en nacht aanvallen.. en dan aan de poorten van zijn bedrijven gaan bedelen als de oorlog je in de hoek drukt!

The interview with Ukrainian woman speaking about the horrors in my country is telling only part of the truth.
Under the rule of Zelensky, several generations of Ukrainian men have already been destroyed.
He has forced 10 million people to leave the country. And he has driven the 20 million who remain into fear and despair.
Ukraine once had a population of 52 million.
What we are witnessing is a sophisticated form of genocide, the aim is to delete Ukraine off the world map. And Zelensky is the one who supports it.
Ukrainians want to change their government. But Zelensky has taken away that possibility by canceling elections. His security forces, armed gangs, and police keep people living in fear.
I am a member of the Ukrainian Parliament. I have been in prison for three years because I called for an end to the war and publicly spoke out against the destruction of the Orthodox Church. Zelensky put me in prison because I openly spoke about corruption in the Ukrainian government, including the Bidens and Burisma.
Zelensky has also imprisoned another member of parliament, Yevhen Shevchenko, for similar reasons. Our colleague Artem Dmytruk @Dmytruk__Artem is living in exile. They also spoked about peace and peace deal with Russia.
By making examples of us, Zelensky has frightened other members of parliament into silence. And ordinary Ukrainians are even more afraid to speak out.
If we want Ukraine to have a chance to change its government and hold honest elections - elections that are necessary to end this war - we must first secure the release of civilian hostages: politicians, priests, and journalists.
President Trump, we ask you to pay attention to the political prisoners and civilian hostages held by Zelensky and help to free these people.
Without their freedom, there can be no honest elections. And there can be no peace.

Elon Musk gave Ukraine Starlink within hours of the invasion and saved the front line, while European politicians who built nothing comparable in years now lecture him on how to run his own company.
Sikorski asks the "big man" if Elon is "playing politics with his products again."
The facts are straightforward:
On February 26, 2022 two days after the invasion Ukraine’s Mykhailo Fedorov posted on X asking Elon for Starlink. The same day Musk activated the service. Terminals arrived within days. SpaceX donated thousands (including 3,667 via the USAID partnership) and covered service costs for months while others were still talking. Ukrainian commanders have repeatedly said the front would have collapsed without it.
Elon Musk stated publicly: "No matter how much I disagree with the Ukraine policy, Starlink will never turn off its terminals. We would never do such a thing or use it as a bargaining chip."
Europe has relied for years on American private technology instead of building its own alternatives. It is easy to criticize the man who actually acted when it mattered most.
Elon is not your government official. He builds, risking his own capital. The rest write posts.
