Nah. Jerry Jones could take part of the money he spends on fuel for his $250 million yacht and buy a better #Cowboys coach.

The more he talks, the more that “cash-poor” stuff from the last couple of years looks even more legit

Right. BUT WHY NOT?
Maybe, maybe not. We will never know. The fact is Ben didn’t want to be in Dallas.

Would you still agree that while a less-expensive race car could win the race … why, if you had an unlimited budget, would you ever have the less-expensive race car?

I did. It's in the data. Winning a Super Bowl gets you paid. It's not the other way around. That's what everyone is missing. Siriani has gone to two and won one as one of the lowest paid coaches in the league.

I need to go back and look at my notes, but I believe (?) that the #Cowboys might’ve grown disinterested in Ben Johnson when they found out how much it would cost.

Formally, I can’t find anything. I’m just going by what your colleagues have said and my own research that Ben Johnson’s representation made it known early on he wasn’t interested in being interviewed for the Dallas HC job.

We can make numbers dance however we wish. NOW go make a chart of the salaries of the present HCs who've won Super Bowls.

Nah. The Joneses, among other assets, own oil land they don't even barely know they own.

@fishsports We know the Cowboys have the richest valuation, but maybe they don’t have the liquid to afford a top tier coach?

Remind me, though: Did the #Cowboys call Ben Johnson?
Replying to @fishsports
Fish, Ben declined an interview with Dallas if you remember. Also, turned downed the Commanders HC job. The thinking was Ben wanted to coach a young QB. I think he had Chicago on his mind all along.

Right. And what does 'declining to be interviewed' tell us, at least in part? Meanwhile, didn't Dallas also 'decline to interview' him?
