I'm not shocked by Star Fox being in last, but what does surprise me is that it is selling so close to Fortune's Weave's numbers. Fire Emblem has a huge established fanbase, and yet there is Star Fox chasing it's tail to break a million units like it wants to catch up. The lower price point certainly helped, but it's still very impressive that a dormant franchise is able to put up a fight to make the Top 10 and come close to a major modern franchise's numbers.

The problems artists face with AI will continue, and worsen, until something gives.
The AI won't give because it's a machine and will never grow tired and it's backed by big business. The government won't give, because they have no interest in bailing out starving artists like they did the banks. The people that want art won't give, because AI is cheap and readily available. So there's only one thing left that can give.
Artists.
Artists need, as a collective, to police each other, to hold each other accountable for failing to be a responsible and trustworthy person.
Every artist community I've been in has scammers in it. Every art friend group. I've seen it for years, artists being buddy buddy and keeping up friendships with other artists that have stolen money, refused to deliver art, or made their clients wait months to years for a commission.
It's an open secret. They all know <Art Friend> has done it, is doing it, will continue to do it. But they do nothing about it, because being a part of the clique is more important than integrity. The list of known scammers and crooks in the furry community alone is lengthy, and every single one of them is welcomed in the art community. They shouldn't be.
Until artists start policing their own and begin to force higher standards of ethics in the community, AI will continue to become the attractive alternative to being scammed, stolen from, and abused.
In the era of AI, artists cannot afford to let a machine god inspire more faith than a human with a pencil.
“Support real artists! Don’t use AI!”
I DID. I spent THOUSANDS commissioning artists who took my money, ghosted me for months, and spent their time pumping out adoptables and YCHs instead of delivering my artwork.
So I used AI to finish what they wouldn't.
Now other artists refuse my money because I've used AI.
You told me to support artists. I DID. You took my money, wasted my time, and now shame me for finding an alternative.
You're not fighting AI. You're driving paying customers straight into its arms.
