Why I won’t be watching The Lost Children of Tuam

15 years suspended from ministry due to liberal writings, that are now mainstream. I read that Leo has made appointments to the repeals body in the Vatican — Salvador Cordileone, reactionary archbishop of SF, and two Opus Dei canon lawyers from Spain. No hope for me there.
This is a review of a book by Eamon Maher; a book well worth reading.

Galway footballers are sadly lacking in any coherent kick-out strategy. Shown up badly in that facet of the game today.
Time for management to get its act together on this.

I’m not a Catholic, but wouldn’t it be great if we could get #Ilovethepope trending as he’s plainly a good, decent, principled human being, and, on Musk’s platform, this will annoy a lot of powerful, evil people. Do please repost.

Cardinal Hollerich (Luxembourg) said recently that the Church cannot continue to exist without ordaining women! I got sidelined for saying that fifteen years ago. (All about timing!)
Would they have the decency to allow me back, now that the opinion is mainstream? Not likely.
This is the link to a statement from the Association of Catholic Priests, responding to the dismissal of any possibility for women in ministry in the Catholic Church by Bishop Alan McGuckian

Bishop McGuckian’s statement ruling out the dis one for women has the potential to undermine the synodality movement. Will any other bishop go public to disagree? It is crucial that they do.

fourteen years since I was suspended by the Vatican for my purported views. I will be 80 in one year. Treatment totally lacked justice and continues so. Would some person in authority in the Vatican actually talk face to face with me. Small thing to ask at this hour of my life??
My reaction to the Vatican statement on women and diaconate tonyflannery.com/responding-…
The news from the Vatican strongly opposing having women deacons in the Catholic Church is really disappointing. If supported by the Pope, it will be a major setback for the papacy of Leo, and for the whole process of Synodality.
This article, by Michael Morwood, is as good as anything I have read in outlining the core reforms needed in the Catholic Church.

The more I read about Pope Leo, and what he says, the more encouraged I am that he will be a great leader of our Church.
