I received this note from a veteran official who has been a referee for hundreds of events, including UFC events, regarding the position where Moicano was stood up:
A body triangle is a dominant position that restricts the opponent’s movement and creates opportunities for submissions, particularly the rear-naked choke.
Even without strikes, hand fighting, wrist control and attempts to secure a choke are legitimate offensive activity.
Standing fighters up simply because there are no strikes unfairly removes an earned positional advantage.
If a fighter doesn’t have an answer for the position then they stay there and get out of the position when the round is finished.

Our #7-ranked prospect, Ansar Khamzaev, is in action this Friday on #LFA245 in the main event. He's taken on his toughest challenge to date in Juliano Prescendo. @bigbenkeith broke down the fight and gave a prediction! Give it a read. mmaprospectvault.com/breakdo…

As I said about his previous Yan-Merab 2 article, you will not find a more thorough breakdown of last Saturday's classic than @TypewritingDA's work here. Also, "The Motor & The Merciless" is just phenomenal.
Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili set to settle the score. Their final 5 rounds produced a dramatic, one of highest-level fights you’ll ever see - and to call it impressive from both would be an understatement even as I wrote about it.

Today Petr Yan once again proved why he is one of the best fighters in the world.
Behind such victories stand years of hard work, discipline and absolute dedication to his craft.
At 1win, we always support those who strive to be first.
For this victory, Petr will get a Rolls-Royce Cullinan from me. Well deserved 🤝

Who's the world champion?
One of the most fiercely contested weight classes at the 2026 IMMAF World Championships is the junior bantamweight division.
These are the fighters who stand out as the strongest among them.

As I reported hours ago, Flávio Bolsonaro has arrived safely in United States.
The mastermind behind this operation is U.S. Secretary of State @SecRubio .
From the United States, free and safe, Flávio will lead the opposition against Lula.
