It's Discovery Tuesday! Our elementary schools served sugar snap peas today. Snap peas are a good source of fiber, vitamins A, C & K, iron, folate & manganese. Did You Know: The "snap" in their name comes from the audible crunch when you bite into a fresh pod! @RoundRockISD

We served blood oranges for today's Discovery Day. A blood orange is a citrus fruit that looks similar to an orange from the outside but has deep red colored fruit and juice. Blood oranges tend to be easier to peel, often have fewer seeds, and have a sweeter taste. @RoundRockISD

Middle and high school students: We're serving Jerk Chicken Pizza all week at the Pizza station. The pizza features our whole-grain crust, lime crema, mozzarella cheese, sweet potatoes, and roasted jerk-spice chicken! Try it this week!
