Looks like the High Council has decided to do some reading in the Illusioner’s Library!📚
...Huh? Seems like one of them isn’t too thrilled about it.

Since Singers and Soul Blocks aren't called "healthy" warden and sculk; the Sift's colorful terrain will have its own name instead of just "red sculk" (besides, there's sculkers, not dark or unhealthy, just plain sculkers)
So... since sculk comes from skulk, what about... bask?

The Kite, a giant passive mob in the sift with a hollow body, made for consuming stray souls in the air, these souls are converted into crystalline souls, which are left behind by the mob as drops that fall from the sky for players to collect.

while going trough the texture files I found these "sand-like" pale yellow and white blocks used in Humbler Huslkland... but alongside them is this transition from the yellow block to what appears to be.. soul sand?
and a weird green ore thing... has anyone found this in-game?
Anyways, here's my theory/lore chart on the Sift creatures and such..
Obviouslly, BEWARE spoilers from the game's content
also here's some extra lore bits
+ the Monarch's special attack is literally making a clone of itself, how narcissist
+ the Dartback is confirmed to not be a Sifter.. which is very weird on its own, they also attack Sifters and summon two sculkers in battle, its an uh evil-sifter
"...the new dimension ventures into what Peter describes as 'psychedelic retro sci-fi with a hint of fantasy'. "
I love this dimension so much... and just look at the Singer being the cutest beast ever..
Did you know that the instrument you hear in the Sift is called the harpejji? Now that's music to our ears!

Perfectionism kills the joy of creating, understanding art technical level isn't bad but it gets to a point where it becomes intoxicating, people become afraid of making mistakes. Make anatomy mistakes, place the shadows wrong, you will enjoy drawing again once you stop caring
Had to check in the texture files and it seems to me that, in fact, the whole dimension is just sculk in different shapes n' colors
Like how our familiar dark sculk has a "bone-like" material that feels nothing like the rest of it- the Sift just has stoney and grassy sculk forms

I mean they look pretty much the same color as the soil... besides, the novel does mention red sculk walls and the orange sculk thing is almost always in the floor so...
+ to clarify some confusion, the names I put in " " are nicknames I made to differentiate the textures
The novel describes it as "healthy" sculk, but it's probably not going to be called that since that word was originally a pun with deep dark biomes gameplay (being stealthy) +
To think I used to say "Endermen are sort of "Man of Ender"
To argue "Ender" was never one broken deity but rather the collective title of souls trapped in the void. Every ender-creature being an "extension" of "Ender", and now... well

I feel like I had to say this because I think this take on the Eyes is a major oversight on where Dungeons' game design ends and lore starts. The eyes being special works with how they behave in vanilla. If anyone's curious, for instance, here's a theory on them which I like
