HMRC is seeking bankruptcy of Sky football pundit Jamie Carragher for an unpaid tax bill. The amount involved has not been disclosed nor the basis of the claim. But a number of ex-footballers have gone bankrupt having been sold tax schemes which they thought were kosher. I suspect the amount involved is substantial as with Carragher’s media earnings at Sky, CBS and The Telegraph you would have thought he could have paid down most demands.
