Sparks are literally flying at the White House, as ballroom construction continues whilst President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump enjoy the Halloween music on the South Lawn
Air Force 1 flies over the White House as the band plays Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ at the White House Halloween event.
To the theme from ‘Harry Potter’, President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump exit the White House and hand out their first Halloween candy
We are waiting for President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to exit the White House to greet scores of trick-or-treaters for Halloween. Sec Hegseth and Stephen Miller are in line with their families to greet the First Couple

Brazil’s defeated presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro appears to have been admitted in to the US on a special status that is usually reserved for ‘urgent humanitarian reasons’ or for a reason that has a ‘significant public benefit’
@FRANCE24
The @nytimes with the [late] October surprise

A DHS spokesperson tells me 'On October 28, 2026, Mr. Flávio Bolsonaro arrived in South Florida with his family and were met and inspected by U.S. Customs and Border Protection in accordance with applicable immigration laws and procedures. At the conclusion of the inspection, Mr. Bolsonaro and his accompanying family members were released.'
I pointed out that Customs and Border Protection records show that Mr. Bolsonaro travelled on his cancelled Brazilian diplomatic passport and asked them how that was 'in accordance with applicable immigration laws and procedures' but haven't heard back from them yet.
The Argentinian government says that Bolsonaro is en route to Ecuador aboard a private plane after fleeing Brazil.
As I reported hours ago, Flávio Bolsonaro has arrived safely in United States.
The mastermind behind this operation is U.S. Secretary of State @SecRubio .
From the United States, free and safe, Flávio will lead the opposition against Lula.
Newly re-elected Brazilian President Lula is talking about his opponent fleeing Brazil, saying 'This is what the Bolsonaro family is like; Brazil is their second country, the US is their first.'
Confirming wider reporting, a Senior State Dept Officials tells me 'The State Department will issue visas to Flavio Bolsanaro and his family and allow them entry into the United States.' Unclear what type of visa this will be.
Tomorrow President Trump will have his first meeting with the new French ambassador to the US @FrenchAmbUS. It's a tricky time in US/Franco relations; last weekend Trump evoked the protests that have engulfed France in recent weeks, saying 'the migrants have taken over France'. French President Macron has called such remarks by Trump and other world leaders 'stupid comments'.
State Department official tells me this is incorrect. They say the ordered departure is only for 'non-emergency US government employees and their family members' and is limited to Saudi Arabia only.
BREAKING: US orders full evacuation of US embassy staff and their families in Saudi Arabia immediately, with families of embassy staff in the UAE, Jordan, Qatar and Bahrain also ordered out, per a diplomatic source to AFP.

The US State Department says this report is inaccurate and that it has issued an ordered departure for non-emergency US government employees and their families in Saudi Arabia only. x.com/statedeptspox/…
Just back from a reporting trip to West Virginia, where a looming data centre project has sparked fierce backlash from local residents. A coalition of residents, named Tucker United is demanding more transparency from officials and the shell companies behind the project.

When most people think of Russian President Vladimir Putin, I don’t think the word ‘humanitarian’ is one of the first words that comes to mind.

“What they oppose the most is the secrecy.”

If you need to understand how Russia is seeing President Trump's softening on sanctions and energy deals, just look no further than this post from Putin's investment envoy.
On Monday, prior to the executive order that waived much of the Lindsey Graham act, he said 'We are also discussing joint projects in the field of Russian and US data centres, including with the use of small-scale nuclear power plants'.
