In order to understand how Arabs in the Abbasid period adopted the ethnonym “Kurd” & applied it to nomads, Ardavān’s letter to Ardashīr is the best example. In the Persian version, Ardavān calls Ardashīr a "child" from the villages of Istakhr; there is no mention of Kurds. /1

عاجل | اربيل تشن هجوم على السليمانية وبافل طالباني بعد تصريحاته الاخيرة التي اعلن فيها تقسيم الاقليم واكد ان اربيل سرقت الاسلحة الامريكية:
- تناولت بعض وسائل الإعلام تصريحات لرئيس حزب سياسي ادعى فيها وجود "إدارتين" في إقليم كردستان كما ساق مجموعة من التضليلات فيما يخص الأنباء المتداولة حول إرسال أسلحة أمريكية
- إقليم كردستان هو كيان دستوري معترف به ضمن الدولة الاتحادية ورغم المحاولات المستمرة لفرض واقع "الإدارتين" على الإقليم إلا أننا لن نسمح بذلك ولن يكتب لهذه المساعي النجاح.
- أما بخصوص ما يشاع عن تزويد الولايات المتحدة لجهة كردية بأسلحة فإن رئيس الحزب المذكور يحاول التنصل من المسؤولية وإلقاء اللائمة على أطراف أخرى عبر حملات تضليل إعلامي ممنهجة.
- إن الجانب الأمريكي هو الأدرى بالجهة التي تسلمت تلك الأسلحة -إن وُجدت- والحقيقة ستنكشف للجميع عاجلاً أم آجلاً، ولا داعي لكل هذا التزييف للحقائق.
- ليس من حق رئيس هذا الحزب التحدث نيابة عن المؤسسات الرسمية، كما أن تصريحاته العارية عن الصحة لن تفلح في إبعاد الشبهات عنه وعن حاشيته.

Iranian President met with the leader of the Kurdistan people and agreed that they’ll jointly work against American separatists.
The President of the Kurdistan, Barzani, had a phone call with the Iranian foreign minister Araghi and have agreed that the Kurds are the guardians of the Iranian borders.
Seems the U.S. plans to use the Kurds in the ground operations against Iran was a spectacular failure.

Ankawa's crisis is not isolated, it's part of a broader strategy to destroy remaining clusters of Assyrians. Erbil Gov. Omed Khoshnaw has met with Hawpa, a Kurdish neo-Nazi group whose charter explicitly calls for the genocide of Assyrians. This is not neglect, it's erasure.
